For Connection, Feltre’s 24 Hours Race was more than a sponsorship. Inside their tent on the climb, energy was measured in enthusiasm, not kilowatts.

Thanks to the 24h Connection schedule, the party never stopped, day or night. It kicked off at breakfast with coffee and croissants. Lunch was a must-visit pit stop for a porchetta sandwich, open to all the teams, while evening brought everyone back for a taste of the house gin.

We caught up with Roberto Zuccaro, CEO of this dynamic Treviso-based company, during a quick break from his time in the saddle. He is a keen cyclist himself, deeply captivated by the sport and the community around it.

Roberto, how did you get involved with cycling and Feltre’s 24 Hours Race?

We chose this event not just for its massive scale, but because of the incredible connections it helps to create. The competitive spirit is definitely there, but the real highlight of this weekend was seeing so many people come together and build new relationships.
Plus, the organization behind it has been fantastic and the visibility is huge, showcasing our stunning territory. The town itself is the perfect stage for this race. As a company based in San Vendemiano, we really wanted to support the event.

You didn’t just watch the race from the sidelines. Along with fielding two Connection teams dedicated to charity, you got in the saddle yourself. So, how was it out there on the track?

Building two teams from scratch was incredibly rewarding. We couldn’t have done it without our team’s support. I loved the non-stop nature of the race, especially the chance to ride safely at night, which in my opinion is the most beautiful moment. I took the 3:00 to 6:00 AM stint, got some rest, and was back out on the track by afternoon.

How did it feel out there?

Feeling the adrenaline firsthand shows you just how magical this race is. That’s why the turnout is so high every year: people are drawn to the emotions and the connections built here. I felt so much positive energy from everyone, not just the athletes. Once you’re here, you just can’t tear yourself away.

So, a first step into cycling, in a sports-loving region like Veneto – especially after the recent Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games. What does this new connection to the sport mean for your business?

We want to strengthen Connection’s presence in Veneto. Here, events like Feltre’s 24 Hours Race are incredibly well-received, so linking our brand to this race was the logical next step. The feedback has been amazing, both in person and through social media. We’ve heard from employees, friends as well as people discovering our company for the first time thanks to this new challenge.

What was the real value of this experience for you?

It’s a wonderful blend of community, sport and people. A company investing in cycling doesn’t need prior ties to the sport. In my opinion, great connections can spark across completely different industries. In cycling, we usually talk about watts and energy. But here, there was an incredible amount of energy, both physical and human.

Feltre Connection’s 24 Hours Race is a team race, not an individual one. Did this team spirit drive your decision to step in as title sponsor?

Teamwork is key in both sports and business. Cohesion drives great results, especially on major projects. I see a strong synergy between cycling and our work: every element must run in perfect sync to reach the goal. Plus, along with having so much fun, we did something good. And that makes me incredibly proud.

How was it sharing the track with so many cycling champions and everyday enthusiasts alike?

I got goosebumps right from Friday night’s stage presentation, hearing the names of stars from across the sporting world. I’m a big skiing fan, so seeing someone like Mattia Casse get so involved was incredibly special.

Did you know him?

Well, I’m used to watching him race down slopes on TV. But here, he was leading a charity team and even pouring beers. He’s a fantastic guy and was a great neighbor to have. Sharing the event with champions like him is amazing. They seem like untouchable superheroes, but here, they show their incredible human side.

Many people call it the “hellish loop”. Did you enjoy the circuit?

Amazing. I’m no cycling expert, but for my first experience, it was incredible. The track has it all: technical parts, fast stretches, plus music and fans on every single corner. It’s as beautiful as brutal. And repeating it lap after lap just destroys you. But let’s be honest: it’s a wonderful exhaustion.
