Roberto Zuccaro - Founder and CEO of Connection
The foundation
Connection was founded in a garage in Conegliano in February 1999. Born from a bold idea by Roberto Zuccaro and a friend, the company was fueled by the ambition and fearless drive of their twenties. That’s where our first control panels took shape.
A few months later, the garage gave way to a larger facility in Codognè. The first step of a business destined for growth.
The first tech milestone
2006 marked our shift to CAD-driven automation. By virtually assembling panels before production, we redefined precision and efficiency creating the proprietary methodology that still defines Connection today.
New Headquarters: built for innovation and scale
Connection relocates to San Vendemiano. This larger workspace ensures the capacity and efficiency required for our expanding project portfolio
The new automatic line
Connection’s growth continued through steady innovation and process optimization. In 2009, we integrated a new automatic wire processing line: a key upgrade that significantly boosted our wiring department’s capacity.
Market demand accelerated as industrial automation and renewables took center stage. New European regulations further increased the requirement for precision-engineered, high-spec control panels and wiring.
The new automatic line enabled Connection to scale precision and speed, meeting growing market needs and reinforcing our position as an industrial leader.
Introduction of iPad
and a New Proprietary App
We brought iPads to the production floor with a proprietary, custom-built app. Originally an info channel, it evolved into a powerful operational tool. Fully integrated with our ERP, the app manages data distribution, anomaly reporting and can even halt critical production steps in real-time to ensure total quality.
Every detail is engineered for a seamless, safe and scalable process. This innovation stems from Roberto’s vision: a firm belief that the true value of digitalization lies in creating the ideal conditions for people to perform at their best.
The wiring department expands with a third line
We further scaled our production efficiency with the installation of a third automated wire processing line. This move has transformed our wiring department into a specialized hub, delivering ready-to-install components that streamline the entire panel assembly process.
UL Certification: Global Safety Standards
and Proven Reliability
Connection achieves UL Certified Manufacturer status, guaranteeing products that meet the most rigorous international safety standards. This milestone is a strategic step in bolstering our credibility and expanding our global footprint in the international markets.

System Certification
Connection secures Quality Management System certification, ensuring all our processes are driven by continuous improvement, operational efficiency and error reduction.

A NEW DIMENSION OF
PROGRESS: FROM 2D TO 3D
2017 marked a significant turning point for Connection with the introduction of EPLAN Pro Panel. While we continue to utilize traditional 2D design with SEE Electrical Expert (IGE+XAO), the integration of 3D CAD allows for far more precise depth and space calculations. This shift has significantly improved quality and further elevated our company standards.

The Health and Safety Management System certification validates our daily efforts to ensure a safe, protected and healthy environment for everyone at Connection.
Connection expands
and modernizes the facility
Our facility expansion goes beyond aesthetics: it’s an investment in performance. By streamlining workstation layouts and implementing specialized industrial flooring, we enhanced both safety and productivity. The integration of energy-efficient systems completes our vision for a modern, future-ready workspace.
Smart Logistics:
Integrating Modula
In 2021, Connection partnered with Modula to elevate its intralogistics, transforming internal workflows into smarter, more organized and highly efficient operations.
The introduction of our first three robotic vertical Modula has optimized floor space while streamlining the management of time, materials and resources. This milestone marks the next phase of the vision Roberto Zuccaro established at our founding: creating a fully digitalized, distinctive production ecosystem.
The project reached completion in 2023 with the installation of the fourth warehouse, finalizing the full automation of our intralogistics system.
The New
Photovoltaic System
Our facility is equipped with a photovoltaic system that powers heating and cooling across the entire site. This upgrade ensures operational continuity and a comfortable work environment year-round, taking another significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability.
The fourth automatic line
and ISO 14001
Our wiring department reached full capacity with the installation of a fourth production line, featuring a new machine. That same year, Connection secured its Environmental Management System certification, reinforcing a long-standing commitment to sustainable operations.
The New Facility
in Via Celtica
In 2024, we opened our Via Celtica facility to meet the need for expanded production capacity. This site is dedicated to large-scale, high-power, single-lot control panels, while our Via Padania facility continues to focus on serial production of small and medium-sized units. Both sites are fully interconnected through a digital infrastructure that ensures total traceability, precise planning, and real-time updates.
Connection's 25th Anniversary
and the Energia 25 Project
2024 marks 25 years of Connection.
To celebrate this important milestone, Roberto Zuccaro, together with Sabrina Dario, his life partner since 2000, launched the Energia 25 project. The initiative was born from the idea of giving voice to the 25 people who contributed to the company’s growth, supported the Founder and made Connection’s successful journey possible.
