It all started in a garage in the late ‘90s. Two friends with an idea, looking to build something of their own. They had the courage – perhaps a bit reckless, but necessary – to take the leap. By day, they worked in a machinery compliance lab. By night, they assembled their first electrical panels. They would go days without sleep just to deliver on time. It wasn’t just dedication. It was a way of life.

Over time, the path became clearer. Even if it wasn’t a straight line—partners changed, collaborations shifted—one thing remained certain: a company must reflect the people who run it.
“It couldn’t go wrong,” Zuccaro says today, with a confidence that is far from arrogant. It’s that quiet certainty that only comes from working with structure, responsibility, and passion.

Today, Connection is one of Northern Italy’s most advanced companies in industrial control panel design and manufacturing.

Two facilities, located just steps apart, house the company’s operations. One is dedicated to the volume production of small and medium-sized panels, while the other handles custom, high-power, single-lot builds. The two sites are seamlessly connected through a digital infrastructure. Operators on the shop floor are equipped with over 80 iPads, ensuring instant communication, full traceability, scheduling, and real-time updates.
This setup stems from a pioneering vision. As early as 2010, Connection introduced iPads to the production line, pairing them with a custom-built proprietary app. Originally just an information channel, the app has evolved into a comprehensive, ERP-integrated work tool. It shares data, gathers feedback, flags anomalies and can even halt critical production steps in real time. A true silent revolution. Everything is designed to make the process smooth, safe, and repeatable.
Ultimately, it is not the product that sets Connection apart. It is how it is built.

Investing in technology is essential, but it isn’t enough,” Zuccaro explains. “Without the right people, even the most advanced machinery is useless.”

This is Connection’s signature approach: quiet, yet profound innovation. It is built into every behavior, process, and daily routine.

This very spirit came to the forefront during the company’s 25th anniversary. To mark the milestone, Connection published an anniversary book titled Energia 25. It is dedicated to what truly drives the business: the invisible yet constant power of relationships, vision, and passion. “Beyond the processes, technology, and operations, there is something even more fascinating: a collective energy that powers our work,” Zuccaro wrote to mark the occasion.
